The New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the origin and rightful location of a bronze memorial plaque turned in on October 13, 2025. A citizen located a heavy bronze memorial placard along Route 365 in the town of Verona. An investigation determined Morley was operating a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck equipped with a plow and was snowplowing the roadway of the trailer park while the victim was shoveling snow. Morley and the victim became involved in a verbal argument, which resulted in Morley driving away and striking the victim with the plow. The victim did not sustain serious injuries.
