45-Year-Old Ilion Woman Dies Following Industrial Accident at Titan Homes in Sangerfield

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an industrial Accident in the Town of Sangerfield. On July 9, 2026, just before 9 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies and medical personnel from Waterville Fire Department, Oriskany Falls Fire Department, Central Oneida County Ambulance and Mercy Flight responded to Titan Homes, located at 951 State Route 12, for a report of a female who had fallen and was not responsive. Upon arrival, first responders located a 45-year-old female named Heather Gantz, from Ilion, NY, and began CPR and other life-saving measures. Gantz was transported to Wynn Hospital, where, despite all efforts, passed away. The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit and the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident to determine exactly what happened. The investigation is ongoing, and more information may be released at a later time.
