Multi-agency investigation leads to drug arrest

On February 2, 2026, New York State Police arrested a father and son from Broome County following the execution of a search warrant by the Troop C Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Troop C Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), the Vestal Police Department and the New York State Office of Cannabis Management.

The search warrant is the result of a several months-long investigation at 448 Robin Lane in the Town of Vestal.

As a result, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately 8.144 pounds of cannabis

  • Approximately 2.98 pounds of cannabis concentrate

  • US Currency

  • Six Cell Phones

  • One Tablet

 

The following subjects were arrested and charged:

Tyler James Dickerson, 22 of Endicott

  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 2nd degree (more than 5 pounds of cannabis), a class “E” felony

  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 3rd degree (more than 5 ounces of concentrated cannabis), a misdemeanor

William Edie Dickerson III, 41 of Vestal

  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 3rd degree (more than 16 oz of cannabis), a misdemeanor

  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 3rd degree (more than 5 oz of concentrated cannabis), a misdemeanor

  • Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor

  • Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, a misdemeanor

 

Both men were processed and issued appearance tickets to appear at the Vestal Town Court on February 19, 2026.
