Candy Theft at Oneida County Office Building; Utica Woman Charged with Petit Larceny

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica woman was arrested following a larceny investigation at the Oneida County Office Building, located at 800 Park Ave. in the City of Utica.

Deputies recover 26 candy bars after an alleged theft at the Oneida County Office Building in Utica, New York.

  On July 8, 2026, at about 9:49 AM, Tiffany L. Greene, age 41, of Utica, walked into the Street Corner Market Store, which is located in the Oneida County Office Building. She removed several Kit Kat and Kinder Bueno candy bars from a shelf, placed them in a duffel bag, and left the store without paying for them.


  A store employee reported to Deputies who were at the Oneida County Office Building that Greene was in the store when she noticed all of the candy bars missing from the shelf.


 Greene was immediately taken into custody after she left the store, and all of the missing candy bars were located in her duffel bag. A total of 26 candy bars were stolen and recovered.


  Greene was brought to the Oneida County Courthouse booking room, was arrested, and charged with Petit Larceny, 155.25, of the New York State Penal Law, a class A misdemeanor. Greene was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Utica City Court at a later date and time and then released.
