The individual who was struck in the collision has been identified as Robert Bornt, 54 of Hoosick Falls, NY.  Mr. Bornt who was working as a supervisor for the DOT operation at the time of incident, succumbed to his injuries at Albany Medical Center on May 30, 2025.  The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made related to the crash. 

Whitesboro man was arrested following a physical dispute in the Town of Deerfield.

On May 27th, 2025, the Kirkland Police Department turned over an investigation to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office regarding a Pitbull, Rhett, who had been found alone at 44 Pratt Ave in the Town of Kirkland on May 16th, 2025.

Bouchet is accused of robbing the AT&T store located on Recreation Dr. in the town of Hopewell, NY, by threatening employees with a gun and forcing the employees to take him to the safe to steal over $15,000 in cell phones and cell phone accessories.  Within two hours, State Police Investigators and the SP Waterloo Uniform Force identified, located, and arrested Bouchet in Waterloo, NY.

The arrest stems from a complaint made to State Police on May 23, 2025.  The complainant stated that he is running for the town of Lee Supervisor and that one of his political signs was stolen from the lawn of a friend's property on Turin Road in the town of Lee.

Police Pursue Fleeing Vehicle on Interstate 95 — Multiple Injuries Reported Following Crash Involving Fleeing Vehicle Operated by 15-Year-Old

On May 23rd, 2025 at approximately 3:30 am, New York State Troopers responded to a one car accident involving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the Southern State Parkway, just east of the Belt Parkway. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was unable to be moved from the right lane resulting in Troopers having to position their marked patrol vehicle behind it with their emergency lights activated....

New York State Police successfully arrested two individuals in two separate incidents that involved them both fleeing from traffic stops. The unrelated cases that occurred on September 1st, 2024, and April 18th, 2025, both have one common theme: fleeing from New York State Troopers does not work and will not work; you will get caught.

On May 18, 2025, New York State Police arrested Nicholas Partis, age 38 of Cortland, NY for the class “D” felony of Burglary in the third degree.

Due to unsafe speed, the Juvenile failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection. Carrie Genther (39) of Westmoreland, was operating a 2014 Honda CRV, westerly, on Lowell Rd, when the pickup truck operated by the Juvenile struck the drivers side of Genther's vehicle. 

On May 18, 2025, at approximately 8:41 p.m., State Police were called to I-87 near Exit 3 in the town of Colonie for a report of a two-car accident. 

On March 14, 2025, State Police began investigating a potential kidnapping and assault incident that took place on State Route 3 in Saranac.

The homeowner called 911 when they became overwhelmed with smoke in the interior of the residence, and fled outside with her infant child and two parents First responding personnel arrived quickly, and thankfully, Utica Fire was able to extinguish the fire, saving the residence from total destruction.

The investigation revealed that a 2024 Subaru, had been reported stolen to the Scranton Police Department and was originally being pursued by the New Jersey Palisades Interstate Parkway Police. The New Jersey Palisades Interstate Parkway Police continued their pursuit of the vehicle into New York. Troopers joined the pursuit at Exit 7.

The investigation is ongoing, and evidence indicates the SUV was intentionally driven into the water. The vehicle was carried by the strong water current before disappearing under the surface. The search for the SUV is ongoing, and the timeline for its removal is unknown at this time.

On February 11, 2025, Troopers received a complaint from a Duanesburg, NY business reporting a theft. The investigation determined Luby had been employed by the business in the accounting department since January 2020. From January 2022 until December 2023, Luby allegedly overpaid herself without authorization or permission on multiple dates, resulting in the theft of more than $50,000 from the business. Luby was arrested at her Schenectady home and transported to SP
